'As authors we all know how tough the publishing industry is, but we also know how worthwhile the journey can be, especially when you achieve triumphs along the way. I highly recommend The Wishing Shelf Independent Book Awards as a way of helping one accomplish those little victories. Writing is a very solitary job & a lifelong learning process ~ every single one of us, even bestselling authors ~ have room to improve, so it is important to be ever open to receiving feedback, critiques & suggestions so that we may polish our skills to perfection. The WSIBA does just that. When you enter these awards, they not only judge your book, for a tiny extra fee you are also provided with usable feedback as given by the readers & judges, which is so helpful. Many are put off entering book awards, due to high prices or mistrust, but there are some great ones out there who do an amazing job! These guys are one of those great ones. Highly recommended.'

'I would highly recommend the Wishing Shelf Awards to any independent author. As others have said, it's worth entering just for the feedback, which is honest and comprehensive. The best part is getting individual comments from readers. The awards themselves are professionally run, with clear communication of what to expect and when, and the benefits of being a finalist and/or a winner have been amazing. Many thanks to Edward, all the readers, and everyone else involved!'

Alex C. Vick, author of Breaking Magic

'As an author I always consider it a privilege to participate in any book awards program. Sometime the experience is underwhelming and sometimes, as in the case of the Wishing Shelf Book Awards, it is a pure pleasure. From the moment of submission to the wonderfully detailed final feedback email I was impressed with the awards program. I enjoyed the clear communication and great answers to questions. I have to say that my favorite part of the entire experience was the final feedback. So few contests offer this extra piece, but I think it is invaluable. I look forward to a future opportunity to submit another book to the Wishing Shelf Book Awards!'

Rue, author of The Chronicles of Hawthorn

"I entered the Wishing Shelf Book Awards, a UK based award, in order to get some feedback directly from the age appropriate readership. To my surprise I made it through to the finals. I will splash my finalist badge and review all over my website and blog.
I thoroughly recommend this professionally run book award.
Many thanks to The Wishing Shelf Book Awards Team.'

Stephan von Clinkerhoffen, author of Stig's Flight of Encounters

“I’m so glad I entered the Wishing Shelf Book Awards. I was extremely honored to have my young adult novel receive a silver medal in the “Books for Teenagers” category. But I also appreciated receiving feedback from the teen readers who read and judged my book. It’s extremely helpful to me as an author to know what they saw as my story’s strengths and weaknesses. I didn’t expect that! My thanks to all the readers and to the Wishing Shelf Book Awards management team. You run a terrific contest!”
