Editorial Reviews
It's so important to have a catchy review on the front and/or back cover of your 'soon to be published' or 'recently published' book. And, of course, on your Amazon Book Page under Editorial Reviews.

Clouds on the Ground: Poems on Time, Loss, and Dreams
By Autumn Williams
'Well-written, powerful and accessible, this is a thought-provoking set of poetry.' The Wishing Shelf
REVIEW
I very much enjoyed this set of poetry from this talented author. Written when she was suffering badly from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), it's a story of loss, of wishing for better days, and, towards the end of the book, hope.
There are a number of elements to this author's writing which I particularly enjoyed. Firstly, the verse structure is very simple and, as a result, accessible to all readers. Saying that, the vocabulary is well-chosen with plenty of symbolism. Secondly, it's very powerful in parts; you can almost feel the author's spirit for life, for nature, for wanting to feel better, jumping off the page. And, thirdly, I think this book is excellent at reminding all of us that 'good health' never lasts forever; and we should grab life whilst we can. I, personally, enjoy walking in the forest; a book of this nature helps to drag you off the sofa and out the door. Nothing, as they say, lasts forever.
I'm delighted to recommend this book to anybody who enjoys thought-provoking poetry. It acts as a gentle reminder that time never stops; that we should grab life whilst we can. I often like to end with the 'bit I liked best'. Well, for me, it was the last verse which I felt was such a good metaphor for living life to the full:
I turned on a song
about rain,
and listened to the lyrics
The words
didn't make sense
but I started singing
to them anyway
